Any workaround to get the Photos app to save/remember the images position?

It doesn't remember the position for the images and keeps opening them in random position and size, any workaround for that?

The Photos app is bugged, it doesn't remember the configured layout for images, like when you open an image and the image opens then you pull the sides and make it all centered, Photos doesn't save that and it keeps opening images in a messy way, like in a smaller size and to the left bottom of the screen.

Have you uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the store? Could be corrupted somehow.

Photos app works fine here. Your question is somewhat vague.
If you are saying This:
1. I open image in photos app
2. I alter image
3. I open image later and photo is still at original size as in step 1

Then your problem is because you did not save the altered image at step 2

you want it to launch fullscreen? can be done, but not by default. you can make it launch maximized easily:
launch it
press F11 to enter fullscreen
hold alt+f4 to close it... when reopened, it will be maximized

if you want to it launch fullscreen, you can do it with a script or third party tool

*if you're saying that you dont have buttons etc while in full screen, neither do i. looks to be a design of the app now
