Anyone else having payment issues?

I went to pay my 365 family account this morning and it would not let me enter my full visa number to pay it. It kept stating we cannot accept this card in your region. etc. I had to fight to get it to work. I had to go to my wallet in windows 11 and enter the information there and finally got it paid. Our lives are on friggin 365 now and will be being removed from said service in the coming months.

Enough is enough. The lack of anything consumer face value product coming from Satya is astounding. Microsoft need to crapcan him right now. They lost so much money with him chasing the next greatest thing while letting other things rot it's unbelievable. The list of products that microsoft had that were just gaining traction which is ditched are to numerous to mention.

Now he's lost almost half a trillion dollars of value in the past month and a half, time for him to go. NOW!

The consumer user experience is horrible, enterprise is degrading every day where even they are moving to either linux and or MacOS. Time for Nutella to go.

I give you points for not blaming Bill Gates for Microsoft issues.

You don't have to use Office 365. You can use LibreOffice It can open, edit and save all Microsoft Office files and is free.
You also don't have to use Windows or any other Microsoft Product. You can use Linux instead, it also is free.

Up until this point we were happy with what we were getting with our payment. But this year when I went to pay I got all kinds of weird notifications regarding my card and region. It would not let me enter my full credit card because of the "region" I was in. It was frustrating since we have ALOT of information on OneDrive.

I won't use linux as it's not user friendly for my family. I really don't want to switch but Satya is making it hard to want to stay. I have been bitchslapped repeatedly by him since becoming CEO. Between RT, surface, band, buds, windows 10 mobile and 1020 adaptation. It's just getting to much to be a fan of MS anymore. Then you look at how apple works with consumers. Everything works as a system, no matter what the device.

SO YEAH, it's a friggin good rant and it's completely justified.

If you use a VPN it will mask the Region you are in and say you are in another country.
If your location/region is different then where your region is set in Windows, Many programs will not download including Windows Update and your Credit Card will be flagged as invalid.
If using VPN,. turn off when doing these processes.

Not using a VPN. This is the first time since 365 has been a thing that this happened. As mentioned, I was freaking out because they put me back to the basic plan where all my stuff was "gone". We have ALOT of personal and work on OneDrive as I trusted MS for things like that. I will be getting my server up and running ASAP and moving all documents to that.

Ms is really going downhill. off a cliff, holding a boulder. As for Satya, he's like Jim Balsillie from RIM/Blackberry. He becomes hyper fixated on ONE thing. Everything else is just noise. First it was lets can WIndows mobile and buy business Facebook (that was a waste of billions), lets build Hololens only for enterprise and military and not consumers, then just stop supporting it, but hey cloud. Lets let windows turn into a convoluted trash heap, but Ai SLOP See the pattern with this guy. One thing. he can't do more than one thing at a time. Oh Duo and Neo. Nah, they are useless....MORE AI SLOP.

This pattern is the same as Jim. He became hyper fixated on getting an NHL team for Waterloo ON. He because so obsessed with this he let the entire company just slide into oblivion. He was just fixated on fighting with the NHL to allow the team that Apple and Google came out of nowhere and just left them in the dust. They were so far behind in new devices software etc, that they could not recover.

Now, Microsoft is one of those too big to fail companies, but they are tip toeing a fine line of becoming very less relevant in every space they think they are leading in.

I could not add a card into MSA, because it would accept not a postal code without a space.

I would not pay for a subscription by anything other than PayPal
Easy to cancel and I do not have to worry about leaked card data.

I tried both, when I added the space it said it was incorrect. I haven't used paypal in approx 10 years.

Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the country and currency where it was originally purchased. Because of that, the system won’t let you extend the subscription or set up auto-billing using a payment method from a different country or currency.

What you can do instead is cancel your current subscription and wait for it to expire (or you can cancel it early if possible). Once it’s fully expired, you can purchase a new Microsoft 365 subscription using your correct country and billing information.

I never changed regions countries etc. And no I am not cancelling my 365 unless I get every bit of data off it. Even then, If I have to do something drastic like that, I am done with MS completely.
