Anyone Else Still Using Old Software Every Day?

I still use an old image editor from the early 2000s because it’s fast, simple, and I know every shortcut by heart. I've tried newer programs, but I always end up going back.

Am I the only one who still relies on outdated software for daily work? What old applications can you simply not give up?

I use PSP 7.04 and play a bunch of old games.

Still got the original packaging and everything.....

What image editor is that? I started writing my web site in 2004, and it is still around. I use HTML-Kit, which was released in 1997, to create and updated the web site. For the most part, I stopped using images on my web site, because everyone kept stealing them. I switched to special drawings that are difficult to copy/reproduce.

The year 2000, was not that long ago. I remember it well. One week into the year 2000, my appendix went bad and knocked me to the ground. They found cancer in the appendix and I had to go through another operation (right hemicolectomy). Now I am cancer free. Overall, it was a good year.

I currently use IrFanview for graphic editing, which was released on June 1, 1993. IrFanview is still available for download. Plus, I have lots of programs that go back a long way. Filezilla is now 25 years old and still very popular. I also still use ZonerDraw, which is 20-25 years old. Do you run anything using DOSBox? That allows you to run many of the old DOS based programs. I often run HamCalc (GWBasic) under DOSBox. HamCalc was introduced in the 80's and was continuously updated until 2011. It still runs fine.

I still have a old SubNote laptop (40MB hard drive) that runs Windows 3.1 and all of it's associated programs (MS Office Suite with MSDraw, Turbo C, GWBasic, etc.).
