I was a little slow to the party, but the other day I was having some nasty problems with my system and I realized that a couple of scripts could help me in my troubleshooting.
The problem is that I was going to need PowerShell to do what I needed to do and I'm just not well versed in PowerShell at all. So, I decided that now might be the time to see if all this noise I was hearing about Chat GPT was more than just a lot of hype.
I created an account, and asked it to write a script...
Holy sh*t! It spit back out a script that did exactly what I wanted along with an explanation of how it worked.
Next, I said something to the effect of "modify that script so that it does this and that". Once again, a flawless script.
I've got to say that this really weirds me out. I had always thought that actually writing code or scripts was a truly "human" thing, that the machines would not write their own code. I guess it shows how completely unimaginative I was.
How about everyone else here? Anyone else exploring this? I'd love to hear what all of you are doing with this tech.
