I know microsoft is getting desperate to get more users on their AI platform, so they are starting to get people to refer friends via the points system. Is there any way to stop these ads from popping up?

If you are not happy with AI integration on Windows 11 you can remove Windows 11 AI features i myself never seen add a friend popup.

You have to sign in to Edge to use Copilot, so don't sign in to Edge.

Or if you do, adjust Edge Settings > Copilot and AI. That involves other sections in settings as well.

I have never had such ads or pop-ups.

Points come from Microsoft Rewards, not AI/Copilot:

Show or Hide Microsoft Reward Points in Edge Profile

(Unless it's from Copilot Money, which has referral codes but is nothing to do with Microsoft!)
