On Win11, Installed Aomei Backupper, then uninstalled. Attempted to install Aomei Backupper 7.1.2, but it says it needs to restart PC before I can install. I have attempted to install several times, and restarted several times. Attempted installation with Aomei Backupper free, & Aomei Backupper Pro Trial. I in program files x86, there are no Aomei folders or files there. To troubleshoot, I uninstalled Aomei Partiton Assistant. There are currently no Aomei products installed. Win11 has all required updates & optional driver updates, except it does not have 2H22, and I am not going to update to that at this time.
Why does Aomei Backupper installation repeatedly say I need to restart? How do I fix that error? Thanks everyone.

Have you checked the 'Startup Apps' tab in Task Scheduler to see if Aomei is listed? If it is then disable it.

Yes, of course I had already done the easy troubleshooting.
Solved issue by installing a different version of the application. Not a newer version, but a different one with different features.

I am still dealing with re-installation issues for Aoemi Backupper. I have that issue with the installation screen popping up telling me that a previous version of Aoemi has been detected and "do I want to uninstall before reinstalling"...but it doesn't matter whether I say yes or no, it won't let me do a fresh install. I even have Iobit Uninstaller Pro on my computer but it doesn't recognize that Aoemi Backupper is even installed, though I can go right to the folder in C/ProgramFilesx86 and the Aoemi folder is right there, with all the assorted files that came with the original install. I've seen the instructions for going into regedit and copying and pasting the command lines to uninstall it, but I'm unsure of some of those screenhots and accompanying instructions. I wish there was a program that could find the uninstall file for this program so I could do a new install. It was a great program when I initially used it, but something must have corrupted the original installation. Any suggestions appreciated.

For anyone having issues with AOMEI Backupper and haven't tried it already try contacting their support team. I had an issue yesterday and they responded quickly and help solve the problem.

It might be the driver. If you used something else to attempt an uninstall it might not have cleared from the registry. ambakdrv is in filters and services

the other two filters in the pic are from easeus products

thanks for the response..yes, I created a ticket and got a pretty quick response from them a few months back, but they still just basically referred me to that support page that discusses the different problem scenarios one might encounter; mine was right in there (message 1 in their list of scenarios) but again I found the screenshots on that support page for a solution a bit difficult to follow. I don't understand why the program makes itself so difficult to uninstall...and I see that I'm not the only person that has run across problems trying to do a clean install. Maybe it will be easier in future releases. Until then, I'll suffer along. : ) thanks again
