AOMEI Backupper License (Serial) retrieval

I have AOMEI Backupper pro installed on my PC and it has a life time update License. I got a free key during a promotion.
Usually I am very organized and I have my keys and data all backed up. But I can't find my AOMEI serial number. I need the
key to make a clean install as if not I will loose the pro version. I was wondering if anyone know how to find this key on my PC?
Usually most keys are stored in windows registry, but I could not find any trace of it !
Does anyone know how to find and retrieve my key?

Probably going to be easier to email their support. They can probably resend you the license info.

Knowing the key may not help. Aomei's keys for these free offers usually have a limited window for activation after which they will not work. For example, this offer in 2018....

Yes, this is how I got the key. So if I do a clean windows install I will loose it

And I was hoping to be able to retrieve the activation data from my PC.

I did a search through regedit using AOMEI as a search term but could not find anything. These days keys are often encrypted in the registry anyway.

Interestingly, I cannot see the key on the AOMEI help about menus or anywhere, like you can with Macrium Reflect.

Now I am glad I always back up my keys to Onedrive!

I don't use Aomei, but you may be lucky. I did once find a hex encoded registry key for another 'free give-away' that let me move its activation to another machine.

You'll just have to wait for another free give-away, March 30th is World Backup Day so you may be in luck next year. In the mean time I've found this free 1-year licence for you....

I will try to register right away and see if after login I can retrieve the key or not :)

Edit: This didn't work. I just got a 1tb cloud trial for 1 month... but my backupper license was not added to my products page.

I really wish I had got myself a Macrium reflect 8.1 key as it would have been the most reliable and 8.1 would have been enough for my needs.
Gaining 2, 3, 5 minutes does not change anything in my worthless life :wink:

I'll just grab a tea while backup or restore is being done !

I just deleted the wow64 programdata entry

ran backupper

there is no programdata entry in wow64

but there is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

you had better export both

Thanks for your precious help. I was able to export the reg data with both apps you provided and got to discover these useful tools.
After importing the reg backups to new machine the backupper still remained in trial mode.
Contrary to your case I only had the key in : wow64 and not in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

anyways for me (as stupid as it sounds) most of the fun is the time I spend trying new things and not necessarily after all is working fine!!!
So I had my fun time trying to get this work. Unfortunately it didn't.
I will search and see if I can still find a cheap reflect 8.1 license as this would be the best possible outcome for me.

sounds like you ran backupper on the new machine before importing those reg entries.

import the reg entries on the new machine again to overwrite whatever thay are now ( or delete them completely from the registry on new machine ), then copy amcore.dll from the working installation into the new one.

now run backupper on the new machine

I tried many times! installing the software, and importing the reg file + copy dll and then running the software, also tried importing the reg and then installing the software and again importing the reg. But nothing works. The weird thing is that the registry entry on the new machine always remains different with the old one! Reg saying imported successfully! but two first values are different!

Ok i figured it out... everytime I start aomei it changes that registry value itself !
