OS
win11 pro 21H2 22000.613
I am sharing my PC with my little brother.
I created an account for him. He is local with no admin rights.
I have a MSI with MSI Center installed on my account (admin). My little Bro needs to tweak his side with MSI Center when he games. Unfortunately MSI does not work and the main issue is due to permissions. Technically makes sense but how can I give my little Bro full access to MSI Center on his side with a local account (without giving him the admin passwd) ?
What I did is logged into his account. Opened up MSI Center admin mode and even then I could not tweak anything. I had to go back into my account (admin), made the change there and the changes cascaded into his account. Does not make much sense.

Thank you for your help

See if this will work, Right click on the .exe file of MSI-properties-compatibility tab-uncheck 'run as administrator'.
However, know that some applications will not run unless as administrator. It is the requirement of the app itself.

Thanks for replying and sorry for my late reply.
Unfortunately, MSI Center is peculiar. It can only work on an admin account. Actually, not the software MSI Center but the modules within that soft. An example, "Mystic Light" which is an essential module to manage the keyboard backlit can only function (including the Fn + F8 shortcut) on an admin account. A local account where you would open MSI Center with admin rights would not work.
I am afraid I will have to suffer with a Blue backlit keyboard. I can do that for my little Bro :) ( I like my keyboard red)

The modules within MSI Center should also have their own executable file. What happens if you also uncheck 'run as administrator' in the modules as well as the app? Just a thought. You are a good big bro.

ahaha. :)
I am not seeing a way to install modules separately from the app.
If app does not run as admin, I cannot access the module within the app. I am actually not even seeing the module.
