Can't wait for it to fix the laggy mess that is iPadOS 26 on my 10th gen. It's horrible. it could have been really good, but NOPE, missed it by that much.

Thinking about getting an eGpu for this system to take on the road with us.
On Amazon, UK Airtag gen 2 are £99 for 4 but you buy 4 airtag gen 1 for £69.

Not sure if is worth buying gen 2 as have 4 gen 1 and they work well. All recent iphones have uwb so it seems to be an incremental improvement.

Contrast this with Samsung Galaxy phones which only have uwb from premium plus/ultra s22 onwards phones.

However you can only use new uwb2 on iphone 15 (not e versions) onwards. It is not clear if uwb2 is backwards compatible with older uwb1 iphones such as iphone 14 i.e. will older phones still work with uwb2 even if does not have ability to use latest uwb2 improved features? I guess they must be as uwb1 tags will get phased out?

Also, having said that the galaxy smart tags are louder when playing a recovery sound than air tags but the new air tags are (allegedly) somewhat louder which is a plus.

I have found galaxy tags seem to be more reliable than air tags when searching for one in my home though (my car keys have both attached - I am not paranoid, I know the car key gremlins hide my car keys at any opportunity😁).
