Dears,
Window 11 Home, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.3775
Please help,
My audio is disabled. For a short period of time it listens, then turns off (you see the “speaker” with the x in the taskbar). I have tried the windows troubleshooter and it does not fix it. I have uninstalled all the audio drivers and went to the manufacturer's site (Acer swift X 16) and downloaded the latest ones and reinstalled them and it doesn't work. I have started the audio service several times and it shuts down again. I have a friend who has an HP laptop with the same problem. Sometimes a popup window with the volume control appears on the desktop, I have undownloaded an application that disables that popup window, but the audio service is still down. I have Bitdefender installed and it does not find anything. I hope you can help me with this problem.
Regards!

Thank glasskuter,
We have run both of the above processes to 100% on the Acer and HP laptops and found nothing. The problem persists. What is common to both is the Realtek sound card.

I had a similar issue on an HP desktop. I tried everything and finally gave up trying to fix it. I purchased this inexpensive adapter from Amazon and have been delighted with it. Works flawlessly.
