While working the battery will drain and I must recharge it. Oddity after a couple of minutes of charging It will suddenly show 100%. The charger is new by the way. Is it time to change the battery even if the repair people tested it and said the battery was fine yesterday yesterday!!! Ra my own UEFI diagnostics and everything passed.

3 years old, I presume you are trying to say the battery is getting tired even though tests say otherwise.

After three years, my laptop battery has lost 35% of its capacity, this is normal.

You say the charger is new; is it a genuine HP charger or a cheapie off eBay?

This issue can sometimes be resolved by simply performing a "recalibration" of the battery. You will find multiple methods for doing this, this just just one method and I suggest it because it has some advantages.

1) Charge the battery fully.

2) While still plugged into AC power, reboot the system into safe mode.

3) Unplug the AC power and allow the system to run until it cuts off and loses power.

4) Plug the system back in and allow it to charge fully while the system remains turned off.

Done!

    The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.
