Yesterday I watched an hour or so of Battle of the Bulge (1965). It was terrible. Tanks battles on sandy plains of Spain, not a tree in sight. The Ardennes was a massively forested region not a bloody desert. Not a mention of the air armada that took off once the skies had cleared and decimated the German force. Too many mistakes and supposition and fictional conversations and actions that never took place.

Best War film. Tora Tora Tora. Actions were factual and the script, although sometimes invented, was straight to the point.
Comes a close second - the original Midway. The remake was fiction from beginning to end.

Specifically targeted at Burma War

Worst : Objective Burma with Errol Flynn as lead. The Burma campaign was British! Errol's performance was excruciatingly cringeworthy.

Best: Bridge over the river Kwai with legendary Sir Alec Guinness as lead (Feel the force). Phenomenal performance as lead.
