Better understanding Edge's (Bing's) approach to website urls

There are things I like very much about the Edge Browser. I like its History and Search mechanisms. I also like that the URL I’m discussing below came about because Bing preceded it with an incredibly useful, more general, series of pressure tanks…

One thing I don’t like is that in Edge all web site addresses are preceded by 必应 and that the rest of the address (though including the title of the page) provides little clue as to the actual destination URL address.

In other words:

youtube water pressure tank diagram - 搜索视频

displays the same URL as

The way I got from Edge URL to the more essential URL (in Firefox, this time) was to search in Firefox for the complete youtube title (How to tell if your well pump system pressure tank (bladder tank) is water logged and has failed.).

Is there an easier way to modify the bing.com…address to pare it down to the essential URL address? (If I go directly to another browser and copy/paste the www.bing.com address in, the other browser will just accept the Bing nomenclature.)
I suspect all the other apparent gobblygook in the bing address (now) has something to do with all the useful tabs that suddenly appear on the left side of the webpage. Does anyone know more specifically what “diagram&mid=E076D457E85F350F6BDAE076D457E85F350F6BDA&ajaxhist=0” does or where it leads?

I don’t remember exactly why I’ve disliked this extension I’m complaining about because what I’m doing now (trying to get information for a friend) isn’t causing that annoyance.

Oh, Edge claims one can set its browser to another search engine… How?

I was unable to even paste in the two urls (as URLs and even as quoted material) without getting some sort of depiction of the web address inserted in my post!!

3 dots>settings>privacy, search, and services, scroll to bottom>address bar & search, click the arrow>change :search engine used in address bar.
Note is your preferred search engine is not in the list you can add it by selecting "Manage search engines"
Note: do not remove Bing from the list if you plan on using co-pilot. Co-pilot uses Bing. You can leave Bing and just not use it as default.

I don't care for Bing, so I use the extension "Chrometana" in Chrome, which redirects any Bing searches. But even then, in a URL for a PDF, the URL gets mutilated and you have to pick it apart to get just the link portion. Good thing I don't care if anyone sees what web sites I visit.

the %20 is simply the hex keycode for a space (20) assuming a European type keyboard. It gets more complex if you go to websites with languages and keyboards that have a character set > 256 chars though.

A space is assigned number 32, which is 20 in hexadecimal. When you see “%20,” it represents a space in an encoded URL.
There's only so many valid characters in a URL: upper & lowercase (all letters of the alphabet obviously) 0 - 9. Special characters _ - ! * ; ' { } ( )
Reserved characters are % $ & + , / ; : = ? @ And "space" which is 32 or hex: %20"

All other characters (reserved) must be encoded using a percent sign and their assigned hexadecimal numbers.
If server side needs to use a % sign in a URL for example, it must be coded %25.

It must also flag the order of the keywords (or does it give that priority) to be sure to get the url with that exact title.

So many links can be much much longer. But very few always start out with: www.bing.com/(intervening material)=youtube…
It seems to be a "signature" of sorts that Bing/Google has decided to adopt. (I'm not aware of any other company that does this.) and I'm curious to know why...

Do you mean the characters between ...bing.com/ and =youtube... probably mean
the search I conducted immediately before picking one of the available locations located within it?

You're right! The search term I used previous was "water pressure tank diagram"

1) What's the purpose of

This means the search relates to the separate search terms water, pressure, tank, diagram as well as the search string "water pressure tank diagram"

4)

relates to ??

5)

relates to ??

6) if this string returns the same site as the simpler string

What does 4 mean? What does 5 mean? and why isn't the simple string 6 included in the url address under consideration? (and, before I forget, what does 1 mean?)
