My new Dell Alienware came with Bitlocker setup and I want to know if it is wise to remove it and how to do it if it is? Any Help with this will be be appreciated . I have a Reg Hack from Shawn but I am not certain if it will work on 26100.2033 ?

Added security for a small performance hit why remove it?

If you don't want it on for your disk(s) you can simply disable encryption

Powershell: 
# From an elevation Powershell prompt
Disable-BitLocker -MountPoint "<DriveLetter:>"

I have never used it before and had no issues. But I did want to be sure , thanks maybe I will wait.

Bitlocker encrypts your entire drive or partitions, so it's a security layer meant to physically protect your device and data. If someone stole your laptop and wanted to steal your data or even session cookies for site you log into they could by simply removing the drive. Bitlocker would prevent that.

I am aware but I do not use a Laptop. Like I said I have never used Bitlocker.
