Black thin lines on my 3 years old ASUS VG279Q1A

Hi!

I got my sons 3 years old ASUS monitor and after a couple of weeks i discovered small lines at the center of the screen when i was editing some tomatoe photos.
And i must say i can't see them of there isn't a bright red or yellow object behind. See photo!

Can someone tell me if i must buy a new monitor or is it something else?!

I would begin by trying this monitor on a different computer. If the lines are still present, then the problem is the monitor. If there are no lines seen when on the different computer, then the culprit may be the graphics card on your computer.
Please also consider trying a different cable on your PC, too.

If you have a magnifying glass, or better yet a jeweler's loupe, then put up the a red screen and look at the pixels, you should see red, green and blue individual pixels, but the red should be lit. If they are not, it's the monitor
