OK - here I go again. Yesterday, removed BT earbuds from Kindle 8 and launched on Lenovo Laptop. Hooray! Worked -- lit up like a pinball machine. Well, that was me -- not my Bluetooth earbuds. So happy!
Sooooo... finished listening to some music. Put them in their case and turned off the laptop.
Today...turned on laptop, put on BT earbuds, little voice said, "pairing" -- oh goodee I thought. Then a msg. "that didn't work" came up. I have tried multiple times with no luck.
A window comes up:

Never shows a device. I think it is the Lenovo that has a problem with this technology. I have tried all the "cures" their tech forum supplied to no avail.
That's it. Signing off ...

I'm sorry to say this but there is no magic solution to your Bluetooth problem. Bluetooth works if and when it feels like it. As I said before, I gave up on using the Bluetooth adapters on my computers. I went with a USB Bluetooth transmitter/receiver and never looked back. It has never failed to pair to my audio devices.

I found this one on Az -- $6. Description doesn't mention ear buds but since it works on headphones, I would hope they would work on earbuds.
Also, I only have 2 usb slots on this laptop. One is being used for the bluetooth mouse since it does not work wirelessly!! I am assuming I can unplug and replug as needed when I need the slot for other operations. Or maybe it will work for both devices -- mouse and earbuds. That would make me happy.

Even though it doesn't mention it, it will also work with earbuds. I'm not sure if that will solve your problem or not because I'm not sure if the problems with Bluetooth is caused by Windows, the device or both. For $6.00 it's worth a try. Do you use your laptop as a laptop or as a desktop? The reason I ask is because if it's not going to a problem you could get a USB hub. The Bluetooth device I use is independent of Windows. I just have to plug it into the headphone jack on the front of my desktop computer. I can't leave it plugged in because it deactivates my speakers. There was a time I could leave it plugged in. I just had to select the output source. Sadly because of a Windows update I have to unplug it so that I can direct the sound to my USB speakers.

The more I think about the Bluetooth pairing problem your having which is also the same problem I was having, I think investing in this is the best way to go. Amazon.com . Even if you have to wait until you can save up enough to pay for it. The only thing it needs USB for is power. It doesn't even have to be powered from your computer. It comes with a USB charger. You can even use a cell phone charger if you want. One thing I did find out and found out the hard way, Only have the Bluetooth audio devices turned on that you want to pair to. The first time I set it up it connected to my sons Bluetooth speakers. When I started my Spotify app my son had a sudden surprise. All of a sudden music started playing from his speakers. He was in the habit of not turning them off and I didn't know it.

You could be right. I can use them on my older Kindle 8 -- since I paired them yesterday they have not stopped working. So one set is fine. I had paired them on my laptop and they worked for about a week a few weeks ago. Now no deal. So put them on the Kindle. I am hoping this usb device will do the trick. Not a huge loss if not -- dollar wise -- but I like their convenience -- when they work!!

I have a reasonable suspicion that it's an issue whether the buds support Multipoint connections.
My Jabra Elite 7's do, and connect automatically as soon as I remove them from the case...

My older Jabra's don't.

New adapter does not seem to work - It installed itself no problem but can't get either pair of BT earbuds to work...

I saw the following on a fix that darn Bluetooth adapter site ( :giggle: ) --
Some guy said: "updated to Win11 24H2 and my blue tooth dongle stopped working and reported a missing driver. After spending an hour or two updating drivers, trying a NEW dongle, getting the same error and updating those drivers (along with the rest of the steps in your trouble shooting advice above) the thing that fixed it immediately was rolling back to 23H2."

Should I do that or download the new Intel BT driver update. Pls advise...thanks as always...

I would try updating the driver first. It may fix your problem. If not then you can decide if you want to buy the transmitter/receiver I posted. What I like about it beside the fact it works is that I can take my dog out to the field across the street and still listen to my music.

I'm happy for both of you. Lucky dog gets a walk and you get your music. The transmitter I am looking at is also in the 6-7 dollar range. But it performs a different function than the adapter, correct?
Also, you are talking about the Intel driver update...si? Thanks again. I'll do the Intel thing.
