Bluetooth Saga -- Part Eleven Thousand

Well - I do believe I have a faulty dongle. No comments please. Here's why. It took me this long to take another set of ear buds to another device and voila!! They worked. The same ear buds do not work on my laptop. So -- I think this dongle has a problem. I have tried every suggestion offered to get this BT to work but alas -- no deal.

I am going to include a pict of a device which I think is the adapter part but I just don't know or remember this piece -- it's been a while so pls forgive me for not remembering.



Any thoughts from my erstwhile tech buddies will be most appreciated. If I order another dongle after hearing from you guys, I am assuming another "adapter" will accompany. Thank you again for all of your help. I do appreciate.

That is a SD card reader as well as BT it looks like. Don't know what brand it is, never seen that one.
