BSOD when naming file with Chinese characters

Hi,

Just deployed Windows 11 with Citrix VDI on VMware. Master image is Windows 11 24H2 (English).

When naming a files including Chinese characters "贖", then BSOD triggered "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA".

(Found this characters currently, other characters not triggered)

Tried to reproduce same issue after enable full memory dump, but no DMP file was created.


May I know what's the root cause ? Since couldn't create memory dump for investigation.

You probably won't find many VDI folks here; this is more of a home-user kind of place.

But I would create a VM on your VMware hypervisor, without all of the Citrix bits, and see if the problem happens there. Maybe try it without VMware Tools first, then with, just to make sure; there have been blue screen issues with the VMware tools in the past.

I'm not sure if you're doing persistent VMs or not, but if you are, maybe then try putting the VDA on this test VM, and see if it's the VDA causing the issue.

That is strange! It causes the stop error code usually associated with RAM hardware woes. (especially DIMM contacts)
