For Linux - don't install via your package manager - but run the script from the site to update.
The GUI is identical though :
Brilliant free program if you like kindles etc -- conversion between formats is great so you aren't restricted to Amazon's MOBI etc -- you can get epub books and convert for use in kindle. Also "De-Drms" stuff (via plugin).
