Cannot attach files to gmail

Suddenly I cannot attach any files to gmail. When I drag the file to the body or use the attachment icon it shows the progress bar as normal then it disappears and there's no attachment or error msg. Any ideas?

It's possible that one of your browser extensions is limiting the functionality of Gmail. Try on another browser or account on said browser.

I tried disabling all extensions (canary browser) but it still won't attach however it does in a diff browser (chrome).

Since canary is in development this is your issue. The answer is to use gmail in chrome until canary gets fixed
