Cannot get WebView2 Runtime to run for Microsoft News app...

I don't like Microsoft Edge, and usually try to remove it or disactivate it. I recently just bought a new laptop, and am still trying to tweak it. I've just tried to open Microsoft News, but I get a message telling me that I need to install and run Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. I'm not sure which version or format I'm meant to download, but in any case when I run it, it makes no difference and I still cannot open Microsoft News. Has anyone any experience with WebView2 Runtime?

You can install it via winget (App Installer). Run in CMD or PowerShell (not as admin):
