Cannot install fonts from shared folder? CAN install same files from local hard drive? Can this 'feature' be turned off?

I'm running Windows 11 build 22000.282. Windows 11 is BLOCKING my attempts to install fonts from a shared folder. However, when I copy the fonts to the local hard drive (Downloads), I can install them without any issue.

Is there any way to unblock this restriction & allow me to install directly from the shared folder?

I am just guessing.
When you go to "Windows Security" (Defender), then "Protection against viruses and threads", then "Protection aigainst ransomware" and finally click on the blue link "Manage protection against ransomware", a new page will open, called "Folder access control" (or something similar, my PC is in French and I can't make a screenshot, because snipping tool doesn't work).

Is "Folder access control" on or off ?

For some reason after writing this it didn't post.

I've seen the same on some earlier versions of Windows. Since Fonts is a System folder, as such there's some protections in place that limit access to sources.
