Cannot Pin Icons To Taskbar

Hi everyone,

I cannot pin icons to my taskbar. I have tried doing it directly from my desktop and search in Start, but it doesn't work. If I right-click my icon, I do not get "Pin To Taskbar" in the menu, even when I select Show More Options.

Also, dragging and dropping does not work.

Can anyone help?

I just bought an OLED monitor and want to remove all icons from my desktop.

Hi,

Yes, I can pin to the Start menu, but there is no option to pin to the Taskbar on the Start menu for *new* apps on the Start Menu. For an existing item, you *can* pin to the taskbar.

This is diabolical.

It should be as easy as right-clicking on the desktop icon, clicking more, and pinning to the taskbar. Why that does not work I have no idea.
