I tried opening the Movies & TV app to watch a movie I have listed in my library in the Microsoft store. I now get a message to play the video in the new Windows Media Player app. When I open Media Player, the only media I can play is what is stored on my hard drive in the Music and Video folders.
In the Microsoft Store app, I can see every title purchased over the past 6 or 7 years listed in my library. When I click on Watch or Open Movies & TV, I get "To play your videos, use the Media Player app" and a button to open Media Player.
When in the Microsoft Store, I click on the ellipsis to copy a link under "Share", paste the link into Media Player and then receive a message "We can't open (link). This may be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt. 0xC00D36C4.
There is no provision to download any of the videos from the Microsoft Store library to the computer
