Have always been able to connect to mobile wifi via my iphone hotspot - until recently. Upgraded my iphone as the old one wasn't supported any more. It's a basic Iphone SE 2022 - everything is set on the phone, Windows finds the iphone but just says unable to connect every time I try - doesn't even ask me for the password. It's particularly annoying as I'm dependent on it at the moment as our broadband is rubbish generally and currently waiting for an engineer due to going off regularly. Any ideas? Am actually on Windows 10 by the way!

Solved it. Reset network settings on Windows 10. Strangely it now recognises two iphones and I only have one. One is called Iphone 2 and that connects with the password. The other one just says can't connect to this network. I told the computer to forget that network. But not sure why it's now called Iphone 2 when the phone's name in settings is just "Iphone". What the heck, it works anyway.

So I told it to forget both of them - then it just found "Iphone" again, entered passsword and sorted.

Good fix. That's exactly what I would have tried. Glad my intuition corresponds -- at least, to your version of reality. Thanks for sharing.
