Those are 2 different graphics cards manufactured by 2 different companies. However, they each use the same Nvidia graphics chip and have the same amount of VRAM.
So to answer your question, you need only one...either or.
I've never heard of KFA2, but then I'm not a gamer so probably would not have. Gigabyte is well known. I suggest you check the reviews for both cards on Amazon or other web sites before you decide. Also check warranties and customer support reputation on both.

Also check warranties and customer support reputation on both.
Excellent advice but also check the seller's reputation, have heard some not-so-good things about some sellers on E-Bay.

KFA2 is a sub-brand of Galax so it's ok, its cheaper though, because of the LHR so miners would not touch it

I'm confused by your confusion.

You've posted images of similar graphics cards from different makers. The cards may be functionally identical.

The specs on the KFA2 card are more detailed. LHR means limited hash rate, which are cards modified to make them less attractive to cryptocurrency miners. (Newer 3080s are all like that.) DP*3 means that it has three DisplayPort sockets.

If you have a choice, I'd suggest the newer 3080 cards with 12GB of VRAM. It's not so much the extra 2GB of VRAM that would matter to me, but rather the extra processors that accompany it.

nVidia is just before announcing the RTX 4000 series. Prices on the RTX 300 series may drop some more after that.

Be careful buying a card on eBay. Some buyers make the mistake of paying higher prices than retail on items that are now readily available at retail. High-end graphics cards were hard to get other than from scalpers a year or so ago, but that is no longer true.

Plus, be sure to use the same caution as you'd want on every expensive eBay purchase. I'd buy only from a seller with a significant positive history.

If you were in the US, there'd be little point in buying from eBay at all, unless you hoped to get lucky in an auction.

Amazon may be an authorized dealer, so you'd get a warranty. Unlike some eBay sellers.

@firas465

Or... do things the easy way.
Go to PCPartpicker... click on "Browse Products > Video Cards", then choose your country in the top right of the page.

Then use the navigation on the left side, (in your case I check marked all the RTX 3080 cards).
Then at the top right... click where it says "price" to sort by price.

And you will end up with this list...

PCPartpicker will also show you all the retailers selling the card you picked, and show you where it's... cheapest.

Then you can just look at how many people bought which card.
Generally, the more 5 star buyers, the better the card. :-)

For example... I changed the navigation choice to RTX 3080 Ti...

...and found that you can get an RTX 3080 Ti for the same price you would pay for that Gigabyte RTX 3080 in the first post.

Tip: Try to buy your vid card from the big manufacturers like... EVGA, ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte. ^^

/edit

The only thing PCPartpicker can't do is tell you if the actual retailer is trustworthy.
For example... this card has a great price at MindFactory. But YOU would have to know if they are reputable.

Image1.png

In the USA, I know that Amazon, Newegg and B&H Photo, are safe to buy from. But I have no clue about the German retailers.
I've never seen any obviously bad retailers on PCPartpicker in the USA, but the three I mentioned I "know" are fantastic, in the USA.

The RTX 3090 ti had a $2000US and up MSRP at launch. (The cheapest I've noticed is now $1150.) It's a monster: 3.5 slots, 450W max. 12 pin PerFE power connector, over 3kg.

The 3090 ti could probably fit in an ATX mid tower case. The one I've linked to is 300 mm long, which is shorter than an RTX 3080 I have in a mid-tower case.

Whether the 4090 will be as impractical as the 3090 or 3090 ti remains to be seen.

That is so true, across the board. There may be a chip shortage worldwide, but there's an even bigger shortage of willing customers.

A couple of weeks I ago bought an SSD, a Samsung 870 EVO 1TB, at nearly 40% discount - and that was buying direct from Samsung UK themselves! The same discount has been reported as seen by other members in retail outlets across the world, Canada is one example.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

AMD RX 6800 XT

AMD RX 6800 XT review

and cheaper

(snip)

Might be a good choice, if the pricing works out. The 6800 XT is supposed to be similar in performance to a 3080, if a bit less. You'd be giving up the raytracing performance of a 30X0 card, and nVidia's proprietary CUDA instructions. (Useful for photo processing, but maybe not for gaming.)

In the US, this is the least expensive 12GB 3080 I've spotted. It's considerably more expensive than a 6800 XT.

I used to prefer nVidia's drivers, but AMD seems to have surpassed them, if you're interested in tweaking.
