This tutorial will show you how to change the keyboard character repeat rate for your account in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

You can change the keyboard character repeat delay and rate for when you press and hold down a key.

The repeat delay is the pause between pressing a key and when it starts repeating.

The repeat rate is the speed at which it repeats.

Hey.
I was trying to fast up the keyboard as the max values at control panel are slow for me.
I found at internet a registry file that it works nice (restart or logoff required).

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Response]
"AutoRepeatDelay"="200"
"AutoRepeatRate"="6"
"DelayBeforeAcceptance"="0"
"Flags"="27"

The same time , without i changed anything these are the other relative values :

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard]
"InitialKeyboardIndicators"="2"
"KeyboardDelay"="-20"
"KeyboardSpeed"="180"

With the first change i think the required time of mouse speed to a click also decreased.
This is legitimate for me.

Cheers.
