Change shared drive name?

I have a shared drive on my second PC and the shared name is just E and shows on the other computers as e. I have the Advanced Sharing box open and the only option I can do is under Add. If I add a new name in the box will this allow me to change the share name for the drive. What I want is a more descriptive name. for the drive.

It should be the same as changing any drive name?

You can click the Add button and share the drive again, with a new name.

You would want to do this if you, like you said, want to change the name of the share. You can also use this if you wanted to set different offline settings, maximum connection limits, or permissions, although you can set different permissions with an existing share.

I could see doing this if I wanted to set a new name, go around to the connected devices and connect to the new name, and then ditch the old share name, for example.

Here I have the same folder shared under two different names.
