Greetings,

Is there a way to change the UAC prompt to highlight the "Yes" instead of "no"? It would be so much easier to just click enter instead of using TAB or the mouse.

It's not a big deal. Just wanted to know if this is possible.

Thank You

I'm pretty sure that's not possible because default button focus is something which is controlled within the UAC program,
it's highly unlikely to find such setting in registry.

Thanks. Yes, I figured it is built into an *.exe file.

I do appreciate your input.

Thanks again

Hi Ian,

Thank you for the welcome, It's great to be here. I have stumbled on that before but it's not really what I am looking for. I still need the prompt as I don't want to login into PowerShell as Admin without it.

However, thank you and I will read it more carefully and keep you posted.

Didn't test if it would work for elevated shell, but there is an option in Windows Terminal which allows you to start it at system boot.
See if you can start it as Admin at boot.

edit:
It's under settings -> startup -> launch at machine startup
