Desktop PC Running Windows 11 Pro version 25H2
I have this workstation configured on a Windows 2022 domain. It all seems to be working fine.
I have the logon screen set so that if I lock the machine the logon screen shows the field to enter the user password to unlock the system. The logon screen also shows the Avatar image photo of the user logged in. The user Avatar images are stored in Active Directory using the Application from CodeTwo - Active Directory Photos.
This all functions as expected.
What I cannot resolve is the following:
I want to replace the Avatar image on the logon screen that is displayed for the initial logon to the system. I want to replace the standard Microsoft simple user Avatar image used on the logon screen but only for the initial logon to the system when there is currently NO user actually Logged In.
At this point the logon screen displays the standard user Avatar Image wit the words with the words "Other user" under the image. Followed by the two fields to enter the username and password. Below them is text which shows the domain name to sign into. followed by a message "How do I sign into another domain"
It is the Avatar image on this screen that I want to change to the company Logo.
I have tried creating new image files in the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft \User Account Pictures Replacing the image files for the standard windows image files. However I cannot get this to work. I have tried changing the settings in both the group policy and vis the registry to set all logons to use the same image files. This actually works to force the logon screen when No user is logged to display the correct Avatar image of the company logo but the negative effect is that it overrides the users Avatar image that is displayed on the logon screen when they lock there logged in session.
I hope someone can throw some light on this and point me in the right direction.
When I say Company Logo. This system is for a local charity that I support. Which is part of the "Men-In-Sheds Organisation"
