This tutorial will show you how to check if a printer or scanner is compatible with Windows protected print mode (WPP) in Windows 11.
Windows protected print mode exclusively uses the Windows modern print stack which provides additional print security benefits on PCs. Enabling Windows protected print mode is highly recommended.
The benefits of Windows protected print mode include:

I can't believe you can't reverse the setting if you find, as expected, that the scanner doesn't work. Personally, I'm not going to screw with it since I have no intention of buying printers until the ones I have fail.
