Solved China joins Europe in scrapping Windows for Linux

I don't know how it's working out for Europe, guess we'll see how it works out for China

• A Linux desktop version will replace Windows.

Because China, like many other non-US governments, no longer trusts American companies with their software and services.

I know the article is referring to government used machines. But many Americans distrust the Chinese stuff even more. At least here, we have a choice and our government doesn't choose for us when we go to the store to buy nor does our government have an OS altered before it's ever put on a machine. I'll take freedom of choice and free enterprise any day of the week.

oh there is a lot going on... Some countries governments have switched to Linux.. the project EuroOffice is going strong to replace MS-office.. There is websites to help company's and private persons to find EU alternative software instead of US software. Service categories | European Alternatives
The start of all this is Trump-instability where he say one thing one day and the next thing the next day and a third thing the day after.. and he started a Tariff war even he dont seem to have that right according to the courts... and when Bil Gates stated in an interview that even he would not trust US-software to be reliable until USA have a new president...... it was then EU for real kickstarted the movement for software independence and even tech independence is starting up.

You can't just do business with an unstable market as the US is right now... business is all about long term stability.. no more, no less.

when Europe and/or China decide to move to Linux then i think that might just get Microsoft/Windows to sit up and listen because if it works out for Europe and China you can bet they will be selling that expertise to anyone else thinking about making a move away from MS/Windows.

nothing like a bit of competition to stir the market up
