Hello,

I'm thinking of clean install windows, but from what I hear if I choose EEA region country during OOBE I can uninstall edge and disable web search result from settings, is it worth it to choose EEA region over the country where I lived in? Is there any downside if I choose EEA region?

Thanks!

Never heard that you can choose EEA as a region.
I think that if you choose a country that is part of the EEA the rules may apply.

When you choose a country, all settings related to that country are set as default. (keyboard, time, number format, currency, temperature etc)
You can then modify each one to match those used in your country.
If you just want to uninstall edge and disable web search I'm quite sure you can do in any win installation, regardless of the country you've set.
@Brink probably has a tutorial for how to.

I see, my country is Indonesia, and the option to uninstall edge and bing is greyed out, and the device setup region cannot be changed unless I reinstall my windows, while I did see EEA country can uninstall almost all apps that was preinstalled on windows, but never know what is the downside to this

You likely have the Windows 11 Home Single Language edition S mode . Go to Settings > System > About and check if your edition says "Windows 11 Home Single Language"
The S mode can be removed.
With a Windows 11 Home Single Language, if you do a Clean Install of another language, it won't activate. You will need to buy a new Win 11 license that will cost around US$ 15
