Clear browsing data on close in Edge always leaves "msn.com". Any idea's?

Windows 11 x64, Ver 22H2 Build 22621.819
I'm a Firefox user but have started using Edge so I can check it out. I have it set to "clear browsing data on close" , with everything checked to be cleared except "site permissions". I also added it to be Blocked in the "cookies and site permission" part in settings but, every time I close the browser, msn.com does not get cleared. I never go to the site so, I am guessing it is some how tied into Edge browser. I just wanted to see if anyone knew a way, besides manually deleting it, to have it cleared on exiting the browser. I will be gone for a few hours but will check back in soon.

Thanks !

Hi,
Yeah msn and MS products are a fact of using them like our arms and lags are to use :lmao:

Best to get ublock origin browser add-on and just add msn.com to your My Filters list pretty much what I do just to avoid going to the stank website on accident or after signing out of hotmail.

Just guessing. Maybe it's because Edge is tied to Bing. Bing is tied to MSN. Even if you have another search engine as default, good old Bing is still there.

The browser can not clean itself, while it is running, period. It leaves more than just msn.com behind.
This feature gives people the illusion or privacy, just like the private mode. Do not rely on either. :nope:

Yes, because as it was mentioned, new tab uses msn.com, that is why you get this on startup, if they get cleared.

You can block ntp.msn.com via HOSTS or DNS. I block msn and bing completelly.

I am not getting that. It's just not deleting it when I exit the browser. I have problems or issues, just after I close and log back in, msn.com still listed when you look at "cookies and site data". Every other site I went to is deleted upon exiting the browser unless I have it on my "don't clear" list.
I do use Group Speed Dial extension which does take over the home and new tab page. Could that have left msn.com still set as the default home / new tab page buried in a setting somewhere?
