Commodore is proud to release the Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection in partnership with our friends at Antstream Arcade and Team17. This is part of our mission to preserve Commodore software history (these first six games in the Alien Breed series are a staple of the beloved Commodore Amiga). Available September 24 on Steam, GoG, Epic Games Store, Playstation, and Xbox. Arrives on Nintendo Switch in Fall 2026.
35 years after its first release, Alien Breed is back. All six games that were originally released for the Commodore machines. Modern dual-stick controls. The brand-new Horde Mode, online co-op in Rush Mode, save states, screen filters, and rumble support.
Plus a Virtual Museum: original physical media, marketing assets, soundtracks, developer interviews, and behind the scenes of the cancelled projects that never made it out, including Alien Breed for the PSP and the Alien Breed RTS – with the design documents and concept art to prove they were real.

The Alien Breed franchise is a cornerstone of the Commodore Amiga library. As a part of Commodore’s mission as a Public Benefit Corporation mission to preserve gaming history and to expand access and awareness, we’re proud to publish the Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection. Everyone should feel the terror we’ve felt in our chests (praying and praying it was just anxiety, not a growing parasite).Commodore’s CEO and members of our team have a long standing relationship with Team17. This isn’t the first time Peri has delved into bringing back Team17 classics – for those who watched his Team17 Amiga 4000 dev machine YouTube series where original code was several Team17 games, including Alien Breed (more on that soon). We’re fans. We’re friends. And when good friends have a major anniversary, you throw them a party.
