OS is Windows 11 Version 22H2 fully updated running on HP Omen 25L desktop.

Have been using Microsoft News for a long time and recently everything is changed. If I click on MS News I get MS Start. If I click on the lower left weather icon, I get an abbreviated version of MS Start and a full version if I then click on a story. So now, everything I do goes to MS Start and the old MS News apparently no longer exists. That's ok since I like MS Start except I can't configure it to my preferences. I click on the upper right "Personalize" and go through all the preference and block options. If I click on the Hamburger menu next to the Home button, I get the same thing as I get when I click "Personalize". I go through and verify my settings. Then I go back to Home and nothing appears to have changed. there are categories I have no interest in and that I have not selected (and, in some cases, blocked). I then click on "News" and see categories I have not chosen or I have blocked, and I don't see some categories that I have added / selected.

How do I personalize this Microsoft Start page to only show what I want it to show. How do I get it to show my selections and not show things I have not selected. I'm baffled. I've searched for "Microsoft Start Settings" and "Microsoft Start Personalization" and "Microsoft Start My Interests" and don't see the info I need.

Can anybody help or point me in the right direction or provide me a link that addresses my issues.

Thanks.

It may not be what you want but in Edge I have my home page set as MSN | Outlook, Office, Skype, Bing, Breaking News, and Latest Videos which opens to the news. Just open this link, copy the url., and paste it into Edge settings-home
I have not tried MS Start myself as I like to keep things simple. See if this article answers your questions about it.

I have the exact same frustrations now. For example I can't get my NFL or movie review tabs to show now in the headers and don't care about the traffic and shopping tabs that do show and aren't selected.

Impossible!!!
That's like asking National Enquirer not to print stories you're not interested in!!! 🤷‍♂️

Sorry man! It's the way of the world!

What you're saying, then, is that the "Personalize" link and the "My Interests" link have no purpose. They are just there to make me think I can filter my feeds by selecting or blocking. Is that correct?

I went to Bing and logged in with my MS account and got option for setting preferences.
