Connected without wifi


As you have just reinstalled Windows, I can’t help but assume it’s a hardware issue.

I have like a WiFi extender that works like I can connect to it but just not my main wifi

I expected you to be gone for at least 5 to 10 minutes after a hard restart.

Turn off the extender regardless. Rule that out.

I need to recap;

- You have a WiFi adapter on your PC - You can’t get WiFi
- You said your Ethernet isn’t working either?

- Too much of a coincidence for your WiFi adapter and your motherboard network to fail at the same time.

- The internet is fine on other devices and your folks PC.

- You’ve reinstalled Windows

Quite honestly, if it were me, I’d of done a hard reset of the router by now (post number 18)

Because it wouldn’t be unheard of if the router has for some reason blocked your PC by mac address or something.
I wouldn’t know how to tell you where in your router to look. Or why it would do so. It has happened to me only ever once.

I finished installing update and it worked I connected and I had WiFi for about 3 seconds then it dissconecter but if I connect to my WiFi exempted my WiFi works but it’s just slow

You can’t get wifi from your router but you can get it from your extender? I have no idea how that works.
How is the extender connected to the router?

And how is it you connect to the router via Ethernet to know the Ethernet doesn’t work?

I connected Ethernet it says connected without WiFi and the extender is connected wirelessly

Or is the WiFi extender connected to your router -> via Ethernet cable?

If your extender is connected to your router via wireless, and you can connect to the extender, I have no idea why you can’t connect directly to the router wirelessly.

Did you turn off the extender as I asked before.
