I'm not sure how Hasleo WintoUSB (paid version) does it but it only takes a few secs -- but googling almost over the entire "Galactic" webspace I can't find anything that even comes close on what to do --the old registry entries of "PortableOS" etc don't exist so the developer has obviously got some other registry entry or trick that does this.
However it's still a bit of a hassle if you do this on a VM since hasleo WintoUSB can't handle virtual disks - so you need to create a new virtual disk with a standard windows format -- e.g efi partition and a Windows partition and restore the image from an external drive.
That's also not so easy as you need to restore an IMAGE -- if you use things like macrium since you can't clone a disk over the booted OS.
Once you've got over these hoops (boot a wintogo usb - can be done from within the VM - just set the boot to boot from external device) you can finally execute Hasleo WintoUSB , select the convert to standard non wintogo and execute. Then boot the VM -- 99% of time ist boot will fail with standard Windows - boot device missing but this time just pressing the retry button will (has in my case on 4 machines) 100% worked.
I like wintoGo for all sorts of reasons but we shouldn't have to go round all these hoops to "undo it" -- or alternatively couldn't Ms allow Win updates to new builds to happen also on WintoGo devices.

Anyway finally having W11 rejecting my update to Canary insider build because of the "WintoGo system I'd created" it's finally working OK now
Please hasleo if you look at this Forum make some mods to your software -- you'll make a lot more money too !!!!.
