The Copilot icon can be removed, there is a Copilot on/off setting in Options. The newer Copilot menu (text, not icon) on the ribbon cannot be removed. There is absolutely nothing in Options. We can just ignore it. Also it is not functional, I don't know about the icon.

All these sites refer to the Copilot button for which there is an in/off toggle in Options. The newer Copilot menu (text) cannot be removed, the on/off toggle is not present in Options. It's part of the application GUI and cannot be removed. It's like trying to hide one of the Ribbon tabs.

I'm sorry if I got off-topic, but I don't understand.
You have a fix for the problem being discussed in these threads? If so, could you please post the details or a link to the steps required.

Just updated to Version 2507 Build 19029.20136 of Outlook 2016 today. CoPilot icon is gone!

I am running Microsoft 365 Personal using Outlook Classic on a Windows 11 PC and updated the Software yesterday morning and the Co-Pilot menu was gone from Outlook.
I had already disabled Co-Pilot in the other apps Excel, Power Point, Word etc.
The overwhelming majority of feedback I saw on a Microsoft Board was that people were not happy that they were not given a choice to turn off Co-Pilot in Classic Outlook, yet you could in the new Outlook.
On the Microsoft Board there was a recent post by a Microsoft Rep that they were going to test an Outlook Classic Build without Co-Pilot on an Insider Build and if all went well it would be released around September. I don't know what has happened I am definitely not running an Insider Build.
There is another thread on the this Board Re Co-Pilot which I posted about Co-Pilot button in Outlook Classic being gone after I updated yesterday and a response from a poster that was running the Version of Outlook as me still had the Co-Pilot Button in his Outlook.
Microsoft are rebranding no Co-Pilot versions of 365 to Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Family Classic.

If the Copilot menu had some functionality, it would make sense, but again I prefer to have the choice to enable it or disable it. Since it didn't even have any functionality it was much more annoying. Thankfully it is removed.
