Copy pasting chats WhatsApp web from Firefox?

Recently my Android phone stopped working. It has gone for repair. Now I am using a spare old Nokia 6.1 phone for my day-to-day needs.

On my Windows laptop, I have been logged into WhatsApp web in Firefox and WhatsApp windows application through my old phone (the one gone for repair) for months.

How can I copy paste my old chats from WhatsApp web into MS word or in any other readable format? If I copy paste directly in MS Word, it removes the names of the sender of the messages.

I don't have my WhatsApp linked to Google account for backup and restore.

Apparently; To export your chat history from a chat: Open the chat. Tap More options > More > Export chat.

To copy a single message from Whatsapp, it appears that you need to long-press the message (Maybe long click with a mouse?), press the additional options menu in the top-right corner, and press Copy.

  • You can’t copy media or voice messages.
  • You can’t copy specific parts of a message.

The export option only appears in the smartphone app. It doesn't appear in whatsapp web or whatsapp windows app.

I don't want to copy one message. I want to copy paste the entire chat in such a way so that that the names of all members of chat appear with the every messages for clarity.
