Hi, I have an out of warranty Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Keyboard. The "N" key is repeating.
The Corsair support forum is a dud. Does anyone have any experience with cleaning/fixing mechanical keyboard issues?

The Cap is seated properly. Running latest Firmware; v.3.29.32

Example:
For the purpose of showing the issue. The "N" key followed by a new line [Enter]

Unplug the keyboard, remove the key cap, and use compressed air (can), to blow the dust out of the key switch itself.
If that doesn't fix it, use liquid electronic contact cleaner.

If after all that the problem still exists... it may just mean the key switch itself is going bad.

I abuse keyboards as much as a keyboard can possibly be abused. I got a Ducky Shine II keyboard back in 2013.
It's impervious to hard typing, food particles, dust, etc... it's still going strong.

Best place to get one is MechanicalKeyboards...

If you are handy with a soldering iron, Cherry switches are easy to replace.

Just make sure you get the same color switch (brown, blue, red, etc.) And you can find them at www.mouser.com Just search for "Cherry MX"

A Cherry MX RGB switch will cost you $2.45 AUD.

The hardest part of the whole procedure is getting the keyboard apart to get at the solder connections. But really, there is no real logic in throwing away a good mechanical keyboard rather than fix the key switch.

I believe this had an effect on the keyboard 🙏
I have a compressor, unfortunately it to seems to have died but I was able to give the key some short spurts of a decent amount of air. It seems to have made a great difference. I'll buy as new compressor but in the meantime I will grab a can of air.

Thanks so much for the suggestion, I am very rarely now only getting the odd "nn" as apposed to the rest of the mess that the keyboard was spitting out 🙏
