Solved Default Values for Smoothmousecurves in the registry

Hello,

can someone please post the default values for the smoothmousexcurve and the smoothmouseycurve from Windows 11? Iam not able to find it online.

The first instance was here... HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse
I see 5 more places with the same hex numbers. They were all in HKEY_USERS
I just searched for: smoothmousexcurve ...and found them all.




I was getting brain damage, trying to figure out how the 8 digit numbers at the start of each line, were "counting"
Then I realized they were counting in HEX. LOL
00000010 wasn't ten, it was 16
00000018 wasn't eighteen, it was 16+8
00000020 wasn't twenty, it was 2x16

Now, when my chicken wings and fries arrive, all will be right with the world. 8-)

on more question: When set all numbers to 00 i still get the value date of 00000008 and 000000010 etc.

And you are right why are there more than 1 mouse regedits? In some enhanced pointer precision is enabled in some not?

Those 8 digit numbers are just row "names". The actual HEX code it the stuff to the right of those numbers.


I believe the ones in HKEY_USERS are all created automatically when you set the first one in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse
You may have to set it for each user account that you're on... I'm not sure.
If you switch to a different user account and it's NOT set... then you'll know.

I think you only have to change the first one.


HKEY_CURRENT_USER is just that... settings for the "current user".
HKEY_USERS on the other hands is the settings for "each user'.
