Deleting <JUNCTIONS>

In trying to use OneDrive to back up folders on my D: drive I found a website that suggested I could do it by creating a JUNCTION thus:
mklink /j "%UserProfile%\OneDrive\D_Desktop" "D:\Desktop"
I did so for the D:\Desktop directory and for the D:\Documents directory. It didn't seem to work. Now these JUNCTIONs are out there somewhere on my disk drives. I would like to remove them so they don't cause any problem in the future. So far, I haven't been able to locate and delete them. Could someone help?
PS: I have completely uninstalled OneDrive since and am using Google Drive, which worked like a charm.

Greg Carmack directed me to https://www.elevenforum.com/t/find-all-symbolic... and I followed along as best I could.
I entered dir /al /s "C:/" "%userprofiles% and got a long list of "stuff" including <JUNCTIONS>; however none of them referenced the D: drive.
Are the LINKS I made with MKLINK /J really gone? As I said, I have uninstalled and deleted OneDrive.

I never knowingly used junctions so I can't answer your question. I do have some advice I want to share. Whenever you try something like that, always make a backup image first to an external drive using your favorite backup program. Most of the forum members use Macrium Reflect. The free version should do unless you need the extra feature of the paid version.

If your OneDrive folder is now empty, or no longer exists, the junction points are permanently gone. Creating junction points or symbolic links has no effect at all on the target folders D:\Desktop and D:\Documents so no harm done. You may find Link Shell Extension (Google it) far easier to use than the command prompt. When I used to use OneDrive I used symbolic links - virtually identical to junctions - using Link Shell Extension.

If you're just backing up the folders, wouldn't copy and paste work?
