Dell folder mysteriously appears in favorites bar (Edge Chromium)

Today a mysterious folder called Dell appeared on my favorites bar in both my Dell laptop (possibly not too unreasonably) and in my Gigabyte Mobo Desktop. I don't recall giving permission to random companies to add things to my favorites bar. Can anyone shed any light on this extraordinary behaviour? And how do I stop it happening in future?

Yes, but my desktop was homebuilt and doesn't have any of that stuff on it!

And @Ghot, I take your point but I dislike doubling up on things that have to be part of the OS and do pretty much everything I need.

When I build a computer I don't install ANY manufacturer's utilities.
The main reason I removed Edge, was that it didn't do what I told it to do.

Note:
Removing Edge will break some of what I consider useless things in Windows 10 or 11. In my case that wasn't a concern.
Things like Widgets, any Windows apps that require Edge, etc.

I pretty much don't use anything in Windows 10 or 11 that wasn't there in Windows 7. IMO, everything Microsoft "added" to Windows since Windows 7, weren't things I wanted, anyway.

As JFK said "We stand today on the EDGE of a new frontier." I run Canary and have gotten no such folder nor is it in regular Edge.

Note:
Removing Edge will break some of what I consider useless things in Windows 10 or 11. In my case that wasn't a concern.

I certainly have no objection to removing Edge and using e.g. Firefox, but I was under the impression that it was impossible to fully remove Edge.

Keeping in mind what I said, about it breaking some Windows components... you CAN remove Edge.

Ofc, I recommend you make a full OS backup, before you do something like this.
Restoring from a backup (if you don't like the results), is much easier than re-installing Windows.

Actually, I recommend using backup software, before you do "anything" on any version of Windows.

1. A full OS image backup will be approx. 1/2 the size of the total "used space" on the C:\ drive.
2. Backing up takes about 60 seconds for every 20GB of "used space" on the C:\ drive.
