Desktop icons show default thumbnail

How can I enable or fix the images I grab from google to show the actual picture on my desktop and in file explorer?

This is what it currently shows, but I want it to show the preview instead of the default thumbnail.

Thanks for the link. I fixed this by unlinking my onedrive from my pc. I guess since there was sync issues, it was showing the missing thumbnails for those files.
