Hello @Dingaling and welcome to ElevenForum. 
I would open Task Manager and down near the bottom you'll see Windows Explorer.
Right click that and choose: Restart
If your Desktop icons are still unresponsive, open Terminal (Admin) and run:

If File Explorer is not responding you won't be able to right-click on the Taskbar and select Task Manager or search for it. Press the CTRL+ALT+DEL combination to see a list and click to open Task Manager from there. If restarting File Explorer from Processes tab fails, switch to the Details tab, find explorer.exe and click the End Task button to kill it. Then click the New Task button and execute
explorer to load File Explorer again. This happened to me after trying to update the Explorer Patcher utility which customizes the Taskbar. Killing the explorer task and loading it again usually fixes that. In worst case restart the computer.My Computers

- Legacy MBR installation, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no WDDM 2.0 graphics drivers, no SSE4.2, cannot get more unsupported ;) This is only my test laptop. I had installed Windows 11 here before upgrading my main PC. For my main PC I use everyday see my 2nd system specs.
