Task scheduler and Even viewer are both seen when I search for them but I cannot click on them in the search. I have to right click choose file location and then when I try and open them it gives me the same message about being restricted. I did find a thread saying to delete a registry key do not run or something similar in registry which I've done. I can now at least open Device Manager but those other apps are the same thingWhat about similar utilities such as
- Task scheduler,
- Event viewer?

Which thread?I did find a thread saying to delete a registry key
It seems your issue was from an authorization level (aka permissions) which is further seen by the fact that your old profile was corrupted, and that creating a new profile solved the issue.Have a weird issue that not sure how long it was going on for, Whenever I try and get into Device Manager, I am getting a message that it's restricted. I have no idea how since I am an Administrator on my own device.

Anyway, you should be able to just copy your personal files/data over without issue. For apps and software, you may have to "reinstall" to insure proper functionality.I found my original profile became corrupt. I had to recreate a new profile. The apps/games installed under my old profile I can just move over to my newly created profile?
