OS
Windows 11 Home
Hi All.
I have just brought an Acer Nitro V15 with Windows 11 Home, AMD Ryzen 7.
I have set everything up correctly except for Device Security.
Each time I try to get this working I enter in all of my correct details then see "Oops, something went wrong Whatever happened, it was probably our fault. Please try again"
I have tried so many times & always get the same message.
Has anybody got a solution to this please?
Thanks in advance

Was there an error code? This error sometimes comes from apps downloaded from the Windows Store. Try unloading all and add them back one by one.

I asked ChatGPT

The most common causes on a brand-new machine are:
  1. Missing or incompatible drivers – Memory Integrity refuses to enable if there are unsigned or old drivers.
  2. Virtualisation not enabled – Core isolation requires virtualisation features enabled in the BIOS (SVM Mode / AMD-V).
  3. Firmware TPM or Pluton not set – Device Security checks TPM/Pluton. If disabled in BIOS, Windows throws errors.
  4. Windows account sync glitch – Sometimes it fails if the Microsoft Account hasn’t synced properly yet.

Gave Dell touch screen with Windows 11 to daughter and got me an OTVOC. Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
