I thought it could be something on my system preventing it from working properly after trying other themes I downloaded, but my windows still look like this:

Should look like;

I tried using ThemePatcher.exe also.

I installed the latest 22621.3520 build on my laptop and tested, first installing ux theme patcher, restarting, then trying, same deal.

Anyone able to confirm?

Can't say for sure but it's quite possible the Version Upgrades and Build updates to them will set things to a default. My current Version on 2 Desktops and 3 Notebooks:

I did update it but I reinstalled UX patcher after, rebooted, then tried ThemePatcher.exe too.

Usually either works, sometimes setting the windows windows to the theme doesn't work if I use the Personalization menu, only with themetool, so I always use that anyway, but still no cigar.

I'm going to try and remember what version I had that it worked on

Edit: actually looks like it was .3447! Going to install on laptop and test. Don't update if you use custom themes I guess, will update.

I can confirm .3447 works fine. Did the exact same procedure as with the other newer builds. So I guess don't update until either MS fixes it or someone updates the tools. (UX patcher says it has patched fine, as well as themetool saying it is installed/hooked correctly etc, yet the themes don't work still.)
