all you have to do on Linux to burn a Windows bootable USB is have 'disks' installed.
then r/click the Windows ISO and click open with.
on that menu click 'Disk Image Writer'

'disks' will then burn a bootable USB of Windows.

Since you are on Windows 10, backup your disk and then upgrade to Windows 11.

what happened to the old Norton diagnostic software for hard drives... used to be able to go through the blocks on the drives with it.. I used it going back to the 1980's. but have not seen it in a long time.. my main issue with drives is usually the MBR bites the dust and stops it from booting... one reason why I hate dual boot drives... just my 2 cents... glad you have a computer back... nice to keep any and all computers at home including old laptops still running,, you never know when you might need them. IMHO

Norton is gone but there are dozens of others for same job or more. Having up to date backup is best "umbrella".
